FMCA Scholarship
Supporting the Next Generation of Marine Industry Leaders
The Florida Marine Contractors Association (FMCA) is committed to supporting the next generation of professionals through academic encouragement and industry engagement. Each year, FMCA proudly awards three scholarships of $500 to deserving students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a strong work ethic.
These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled in college, trade, or vocational programs who have a direct connection to FMCA members or their businesses. By recognizing outstanding students within our community, FMCA continues its dedication to promoting education, professional growth, and the future of Florida’s marine construction industry.
Qualifications
GPA: 3.0 or higher on 4.0 scale
General:
Candidate must be a graduating high school senior who is either an:
Immediate family member (child, spouse) of a member in good standing of the Florida Marine Contractors Association
Immediate family member (child, spouse) of an individual currently employed by a member or business in good standing of the Florida Marine Contractors Association.
NOTE: The member/business under which the candidate qualifies must be listed as the candidate’s sponsor.
Candidate must display and provide confirmation of good work ethics, school attendance, civic and extra curricular activities, and leadership skills.
* Candidate must provide a minimum 500 word essay detailing their educational plans and future occupational goals.
* All eligibility questions should be addressed to the FMCA Regional Directors or Board of Directors.
Scholarship Length: One-time award
Method of Payment: By check to institution after proof of enrollment is provided to FMCA Board of Directors
