Corrosion Resistance and Ceramic Coated Screws

Please make your contractors aware prior to purchasing Ceramic Coated Screws of the following:

Ceramic coated screws have performed extremely well in salt spray testing, but this does not mean they should be substituted for Stainless Steel in a marine environment.

It has always been our position, when your application is considered a marine installation; the proper fastener is Stainless Steel (305) or (316) grade…

Ceramic coated screws are not recommended for installations in marine environments.
